About Bushwackers

Bushwackers is a hip little joint. Legend has it Bushwackers was a strip joint once. The stage has mirrors around it, so that makes sense. The bar is opposite the stage, and quite a bit lower than the average bar. The ample seating around the bar is comfortable, and a great place to enjoy beer and live music. There’s are vintage arcade games all around, if you’re interested in other recreational activities while listening to Denver rock. The patio out back has music pumped at a reasonable volume, and is a good place to catch some fresh air.

SFoM loves playing at Bushwackers. We don’t know what it is, but we’re comfortable there, and we perform well. Thanks to the Bushwack crew for supporting local Denver rock. GET DOWN, GET FUNKY! See you Saturday the 15th!

Thanks to Eugene’s Axe for organizing such a great show, and thanks to 8 Foot Orphan for playing “Achilles Last Stand.” Thanks to The Fox for letting us use the stage to display what we’ve been working on in basements and bars for these last six years or so. Thursday, June 21, 2012
8 pm

SO. HAPPY. IT’S. THURSDAY.

We all know what it means. It’s the second day of summer, we all want to party and enjoy ourselves. Why not enjoy ourselves while music is involved, and get a good beer buzz goin’?

SFoM plays the Toad Tavern in Littleton at 8 pm on Thursday, June 21. $3 gets you in the door, and there’s gonna be a lot of good music.

We’re also jammin’ with Slight Return – Denver’s premier Hendrix tribute project.

If you get hungry, there’s a little joint next door called Bow-Ree-Toe-De-Lite, or something like that. They got killer green chile, and awesome food… and they’re open late. Tie one  on, call in sick Friday. Life is short. Rock hard. SFoM, out!

Wednesday Night – April 4 – SFoM at Eck’s Saloon

That’s right, we’re playing WEDNESDAY night… Miercoles. The day of Mercury. It’s like we’re 21 year olds trying to start a band again! I can feel the late-stage teen angst coursing through my veins.

Eck’s Saloon
West Girton Drive
Lakewood, CO 80227

Wednesday, April 4, 8:30 pm
$4

What I want is for you to pretend you’re 21 and living in the dorms or your parent’s basement; you have very little money, it’s Wednesday night, and you’re bored. Well, Eck’s Saloon has $3 you-call-it pint night on Wednesday night. So take what little money you have, and make the decision you would have made when you were 21 – go drinking.

“But Matt, I was very responsible when I was 21, and I now have a family and a mortgage and a SUV-crossover payment.” Do you think you’re better than us? Or the people that come to our shows? Stay home then. You won’t like Eck’s Saloon. Their logo has balls on it. Nothing makes me want to go to a bar more than seeing balls (blue ones, to top it off).

Behold! Blue Balls!

We’re sharing the bill with Covergeist. We’re gonna play some stuff you never heard us play before. Remember: The show is on the downward slope of Hump Day. We hope to see you there!

Be irresponsible, everybody.

SFoM’s Secret Show – Sweetwater Station

Sorry we haven’t written in a while. We had to go underground and ride out the storm. While we were down there, we joined forces with local guitarslinger Jonathan Zurek. He helps promote strong blues and the daily allowance of blazing leads in the SFoM Rock Pyramid.

Like this, but for ROCK

The four of us returned from the underground at the Sweetwater Station in Beautiful Westminster, Colorado, and we took on an open mic challenge. We played an hour of new songs from our ever-expanding universe of covers.

Since this was our secret show, we can’t divulge the new songs… but we’re back, and we’ll be talking to you again soon. Stay tuned.
